Today, we would like to take a moment to celebrate a leader who makes a difference, not just through words, but through actions. Thank you for your guidance, your patience, your understanding, and for creating an environment where people feel valued, supported, and appreciated.

The true measure of a great leader isn't found in their title, but in the lives they touch, the confidence they build, and the people they inspire to become better versions of themselves.

Sometimes, the greatest gift a boss can give isn't an opportunity or a paycheck, but the feeling of being seen, heard, respected, and believed in. ❤️

May you always know that your hard work, sacrifices, and dedication never go unnoticed.
Happy bosses day! Andrea M. White

Our Executive Director was featured in this piece discussing food deserts and the potential impact the closure of Piggly Wiggly will have on residents in the inner city.
Food insecurity and food deserts are real issues that affect real people and families every day. When a grocery store closes, the impact extends far beyond losing a place to shop. It can mean limited access to fresh, affordable, nutritious food, particularly for residents who lack reliable transportation.

This is why awareness, advocacy, and action matter. We must continue to use our voices and platforms to bring attention to the challenges facing our communities and advocate for solutions that ensure everyone has access to the food they need to thrive.
Because access to food is not a privilege; it is a necessity. And the conversation must continue.

The parking lot at Greenwood’s Abney Plaza has sat largely empty since Piggly Wiggly closed last week.
