ASA also owns the 140 acre Cambridge Community Forest in the Town of White Creek and manages the property in partnership with local community members. The CCF has its own social media presence and welcomes visitors 365 days a year from dawn till dusk.

We’re thrilled to share that the Agricultural Stewardship Association has been invited to compete in Nine Pin Cider's 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗖𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝘂𝗽—a one-of-a-kind tasting event supporting local land conservation efforts!

Our cider, "𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙨: 𝙁𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙨", was crafted from 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟭,𝟮𝟬𝟬𝗹𝗯𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗱, 𝘂𝗻𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀 across protected farms and forests in Washington and Rensselaer Counties. (𝘈 𝘩𝘶𝘨𝘦 𝘛𝘏𝘈𝘕𝘒 𝘠𝘖𝘜 𝘵𝘰 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘷𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘱𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘍𝘢𝘭𝘭!)

We are seeking a Communications Intern for Spring 2026 to help share stories about farmland protection, agriculture, and community conservation. This paid, part-time internship offers hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, including writing, editing, and social media support.

Looking for a meaningful summer internship where you can work outdoors, connect with your community, and learn about land conservation?

Yesterday, the ASA staff pressed pause on the year-end rush to celebrate what has truly been a wonderful and successful year for the Agricultural Stewardship Association 🌾✨

We also took time to honor and thank Donna Dodd-Thomas for her incredible 8 years of dedication to ASA as she prepares to retire on January 2nd. 🥹🫶

The day included a delicious lunch at The Olde Bryan Inn , followed by a creative afternoon at Glint Glassworks Studio in Ballston Spa, where everyone crafted their own fused glass ornaments and suncatchers—each as unique as the team that made them.

Donna, we are so grateful for your care, commitment, and contribution to ASA’s mission. You will be deeply missed, and we wish you all the best in your well-earned retirement! 💚

🦌 Hunters Helping the Hungry — Final Push!

🫶 A heartfelt thank you to everyone who’s donated so far this season through Hunters Helping the Hungry. Your generosity is helping convert surplus venison into high-protein meals — and feed our neighbors in need across Washington & Rensselaer Counties.

🍲 We’re proud to say your donations make a real difference: just one deer can feed up to 200 people!

🗓️ As you know, regular deer-hunting season ends December 7, and the last late/muzzleloader window closes on December 16.

🍽️ If your freezer’s full and you’d like to help turn venison into meals for neighbors in need — now’s the perfect moment.

Your generosity fuels our mission to protect the working lands that feed our region, support local farm families, and preserve the rural character we all love.
