Paint the Town Purple in Greenwich Each June, Greenwich turns purple to raise awareness and funds for those impacted by Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of Dementia.

We are thrilled to announce that any donation made to Paint the Towns Purple in Greenwich by this Sunday June 21st, will be matched by the Lundy Legacy Foundation!

Thank you, THANK YOU, to the many businesses on the edges of town sporting purple this month! Your participation greets those commuting in and out of Greenwich and brings awareness of Alz and Dementia to so many. Bravo!!

Here are a few we’ve spotted- The Fort Miller Group, Inc. and Capital Tractor, Inc. (both long time supporters of Paint the Town Purple), Windy Hill Golf Course, and Otto Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram is that a purple car we see out front??!! 🥳💜

Today we are shining a light on an important resource for caregivers in our local area—Project Lifesaver through the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

Project Lifesaver is a program designed to help quickly locate individuals who may wander due to Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, autism, and other cognitive conditions. Participants wear a waterproof wristband transmitter that allows specially trained deputies to respond rapidly and help bring loved ones home safely.

The program offers:

✔️ Personalized tracking wristbands
✔️ Rapid response from specially trained deputies
✔️ Added peace of mind for caregivers and families
✔️ Support for individuals at risk of wandering

Programs like Project Lifesaver can make a life-saving difference for families caring for loved ones with memory-related illnesses. 💜

Our goal is big because the need is high!

This year, Greenwich along with our fellow Paint the Towns Purple teams in Salem, Schuylerville, and Granville are aiming to raise $50,000 to support Alzheimer’s and Dementia.

This funding supports our local friends and neighbors through caregiver support programs offered by Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern NY, as well as national research initiatives. It’s been exciting to watch the progress made by research over the past several years and we know together we will see an end to Alz! 💜💜

All donations made to the Greenwich Paint the Towns Purple fundraiser by June 21st will be matched by The Lundy Legacy Foundation.
