🚨 WE’VE BEEN PUTTING IN THE MILES — NOW WE NEED YOUR HELP. 🚨

Over the last two years, First In Last Out Ministries has been incredibly active. We’ve put thousands of miles on our vehicles, hauled boats and equipment across multiple states, responded to floods and missing person searches, trained our K-9s, and continued answering when families needed help.

That kind of service takes a toll.

Our vehicles and equipment require constant maintenance oil changes, brakes, tires, trailer maintenance, fluids, filters, boat maintenance, K-9 gear, and all the other things necessary to keep a search team operational and ready.

But maintaining what we have is only part of the need.

When we are called, we want to bring the absolute best capabilities we can.

We are working toward upgrading our drone and sonar capabilities, while adding and replacing critical search, K-9, water, and safety equipment.

Better equipment means better capabilities in the field. We never want to finish a search wishing we had a tool or capability that could have helped.

We want to bring our best every single time we’re called.

We do not charge families for our services. Our goal is to continue providing our services at no cost to the families who need us. We can only accomplish that with people and businesses willing to stand behind this mission.

The last couple of weeks have kept us incredibly busy at First In Last Out Ministries, and yesterday we were working on a search.

In the middle of everything, National Dog Day slipped right past us but these dogs deserve to be celebrated every day. 🐾

Remi, Raven, Riley, Poppy, Bogo & Chance each have their own place in our family and in this ministry. Whether they’re working beside us in the field or waiting for us back home, they’re a huge part of what keeps us going.

We’re grateful for their loyalty, their companionship, and all the joy they bring into our lives.

A day late, but certainly not forgotten.

🧡 FILO SAR UPDATE — RECOVERED

It is with heavy hearts that we share that Donald “Donnie” Ray Barnett has been located.

Please keep Donnie’s family, loved ones, and everyone involved in this search in your prayers as they begin the difficult healing process ahead. This has not been easy on those involved.

There is so much that goes into a search operation that most people never see the planning, preparation, conversations, studying the area, evaluating conditions, developing a search strategy, and making sure we are prepared before we ever step into the field.

We want to extend a very special thank you to Crystal Fields and Team Texas K9s

Crystal is someone we reach out to every time we are called to help. We ask for her experience because she knows what she is doing. She has an incredible ability to look at a complicated search, break it down, and help turn what could become a lengthy operation into focused action and faster results.

But her guidance doesn’t begin when the search starts, and it doesn’t end when the search is over.

She uses her experience to help us train before the call ever comes. When we are activated, she is there to help us plan and guide the search. And afterward, she continues helping us work through the operation and find closure.

There is truly a gift in the way she uses her knowledge and experience to help others.

Crystal and Team Texas K-9’s thank you for always answering the phone, always guiding us, and always being willing to share your experience. We are better because of you.

Most importantly tonight, please continue to pray for Donnie’s family.

🚨 FILO SAR ACTIVATED
📍 GREAT MIAMI RIVER — DAYTON, OHIO

First In Last Out Ministries Search & Rescue has received a direct request from the family of Donald “Donnie” Ray Barnett, 47, and our team is officially ACTIVATED.

Donnie was last seen above water in the Great Miami River on Sunday afternoon, August 23, near Carillon Park and the I-75 overpass in Dayton.

Witnesses called 911 after seeing Donnie in the river in distress and calling out for help. He was last observed above water at approximately 4:11 PM.

Local first responders conducted an extensive multi-day search of the river. That search has since been suspended.

But Donnie has not been brought home.

His family reached out to us for help.

We said yes.

Please keep Donnie, his family, our K-9s, and everyone who has worked this search in your prayers.
