This week for 5th grade students, they are learning about Stephen was killed because he was a Christian. Jesus was crucified, and He told His
followers that they would be persecuted—hated, hurt or even killed—for loving Him.
Jesus also said that those who suffer for Him will be blessed (Matthew 5:11). We can face
suffering in this life because Jesus suffered first. He died and then rose again, and He is
waiting for us in Heaven.
Memory verse is Acts 1:8 – "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

This week for 4th grade students, they are learning, Even as a child, Jesus wanted to do His Father’s plan. As Jesus grew up, He became
strong and wise. God blessed Jesus as He got ready to follow His Father’s plan: to die on
the cross and rescue us from sin.
Memory Verse is 1 Timothy 1:15 "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners."

This week for 3rd grade students, they are learning, Since Adam and Eve, everyone has sinned against God. Our sin separates us from God.
God promised that one of Eve’s descendants would put an end to sin and death. God sent
His Son, Jesus, to live as Adam didn’t—perfectly sinless. God the Son came into the world
to rescue people from sin and bring them back to God.
Memory Verse is Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
