💚🖤 Yesterday was simply Wicked! 🖤💚

Our students had the incredible opportunity to learn a song and dance from Wicked during a Broadway workshop led by a renowned Broadway composer and a cast member from the show. Then, just hours later, they got to see Wicked live on Broadway!

To learn it, perform it, and then experience it on stage all in the same day was truly unforgettable.

We’re a little tired today, but our hearts are full. This was definitely one of the highlights of our NYC adventure!

What a first day in NYC!

Here’s a little sneak peek of our first Broadway class! The kids were so open to new ideas, broadening their skills and really really stepping outside their comfort zone. We couldn’t be more proud.

More pictures and videos to come but we are just loving life here.

🗽✨ And we’re off to New York City! ✨🗽

This morning began with excitement, hugs, laughter, and a prayer of gratitude as our Final Bow family embarked on an unforgettable adventure. From loading the bus to gathering together before we left, every moment reminded us that this trip is about so much more than the destination.

Over the next few days, our students will learn from industry professionals, experience the magic of Broadway, explore one of the world’s greatest cities, and make memories that will last a lifetime.

A huge thank you to our amazing chaperones and to the families who have trusted us with their incredible kids. We are so excited to share this journey with all of you!

New York City…here we come!!

🌟 Student Spotlight: Naomi 🌟

Back in April, Naomi took an incredible leap and traveled to Toronto, Canada to attend REVEL Dance Convention after earning an amazing opportunity last season!

Naomi was awarded a Full Scholarship to any REVEL Dance Convention city in 2026, allowing her to attend a convention anywhere in the country completely free of charge. This prestigious scholarship was awarded after a panel of REVEL instructors selected dancers based on their performance throughout convention classes and during the audition process.

While her parents were along for the adventure, Naomi proudly represented Final Bow as the only student attending from our studio. Talk about stepping outside your comfort zone!

When asked about her experience, Naomi shared that she had an absolute blast and was incredibly proud of herself for attending independently and embracing the opportunity. She especially loved the jazz combination and is already looking forward to attending more dance conventions in the future.

At Final Bow, we strongly encourage our Warehouse Dance Project dancers and Level 2 students and above to participate in dance conventions whenever possible. These experiences provide students with the opportunity to learn from industry professionals, experience new styles and teaching methods, challenge themselves, and connect with dancers from across the country.

Each year, Final Bow offers two convention opportunities for dancers — one local convention experience in the Dayton area and another adventure to a larger city for an exciting weekend of dance and growth. Over the years, our dancers have attended conventions in Nashville, Dayton, and Columbus, creating unforgettable memories and valuable learning experiences along the way.

We are so proud of Naomi for taking this opportunity, representing Final Bow so well, and continuing to challenge herself as a dancer and artist. Congratulations, Naomi! We can’t wait to see where your dance journey takes you next!

Last Friday, Miss Abi and Miss Hillary got to spend the day dancing, laughing, and hanging out with some of our favorite friends in the multi-disabilities classrooms at Greenville City Schools!

We promised the students we would be back - and we definitely showed up ready for fun with props, games, music, our best dance moves, and two of our amazing junior staff helpers, Isa and Kennedy!

There is something so special about ending the school year through movement, joy, creativity, and connection. We loved getting to dance out the final days of school with these incredible kiddos and celebrate all the energy and excitement that summer brings.

We hope every student has the BEST summer, and we already cannot wait to come back and dance together again next year!

We are so incredibly thankful for our partnership with Greenville City Schools and for the opportunity to bring movement and arts experiences into these classrooms. These moments mean so much to us, and we are grateful to continue building connections through creativity, inclusion, and fun.

Yesterday, Abi, Kat, and Hillary spent the day participating in Mental Health First Aid training hosted by Wayne HealthCare.

This all-day training helps participants learn how to recognize, understand, and respond to signs of mental health challenges and crises. From anxiety and panic attacks to depression, trauma, and emotional distress, Mental Health First Aid equips individuals with tools to support others with compassion, confidence, and appropriate next steps toward help and resources.

At Final Bow, we know the arts are about so much more than performances. Our studio is a place where students grow emotionally, socially, and creatively, and we believe creating a safe, supportive environment for our students and families is incredibly important. This training gives us additional tools to better support the young people who walk through our doors each week.

We are so grateful to Wayne HealthCare for hosting and providing this training free of charge to participants. It was truly inspiring to see so many people from across our community coming together with a shared goal of becoming Mental Health First Aiders and learning how to better support those around us.

Thank you, Wayne HealthCare, for investing in the well-being of our community!
