We do not go to bland suburbs or enclosed shopping malls to learn about our past, explore our culture, or discover our identity. ❄️👑 Darke County, we have a new title to give out!

Main Street Greenville is hosting the Miss Winterfest Pageant on Wednesday, November 18, and we’re looking for teens ages 15 to 18 who are ready to shine. Contestants will sit down for an interview, take the stage, and represent Main Street Greenville with the whole community cheering them on.

It’s open to teens from every corner of the county. Know someone who’d be great at this? Send her this post!

Horsepower comes in two kinds, and we want both.

Entries are now open for the Hometown Holiday Horse and Truck Parade, Saturday, November 21, and downtown Greenville is about to get very sparkly. Whether you’re driving a carriage, riding a horse or hauling a truckload of twinkle lights down Broadway, we’d love to have you in the lineup. Tractors, we see you too. 🎃 A Note from the Scarecrow Desk 🌾
Well, well, well. It seems a few of our scarecrows have very enthusiastic fans. Like, "voted 240 times before bedtime" enthusiastic. 👀

We love the passion. Truly. But Citizen's Choice is one vote per person, so our crack team of highly trained digital forensic scientists (okay, it was a laptop and a lot of coffee ☕) went straw by straw and separated the real votes from the extra helpings.

Every scarecrow keeps its genuine votes, and the extras have been gently returned to the cornfield. 🌽

Voting is still open until Monday at midnight, so if you haven't voted yet, go pick your favorite! Just once, please. The scarecrows are watching. 🧡
