Open Enrollment (OE) to choose an Affordable Care Act (ACA) health-insurance plan for 2027 opens today, running through Jan. 15, 2027.

Need to sign up for ACA insurance for next year? Call (252) 847-3027 or visit www.NCNavigator.net to schedule a free personal appointment with one of our Navigators or cross-trained HealthAssist Uninsured Network team members. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments guarantee you will be seen.

PLEASE NOTE that if you want your ACA coverage to begin Jan. 1, 2027, you will need to enroll in a plan by Dec. 15, 2026.

Also, even if you chose an ACA health-insurance plan last year, you will STILL need to choose one again during this OE, or risk being automatically enrolled in a new plan that may not adequately meet your health or financial needs.

It's just around the corner!

Our HealthAssist Uninsured Network is holding another of its popular foot and diabetes-care clinics! The event, at the Dr. Irons HealthAssist Clinic at JOY Community Center & Soup Kitchen, will be Saturday, Nov. 7, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

Appointments are strongly encouraged, to guarantee being seen. Call (252) 412-0189 to schedule your own, but don't wait too long to do it! This recurring event is ALWAYS well-attended, and appointments fill up quickly.

Note that if all appointment slots fill up in advance, but cancellations then happen the day of the event, walk-in patients may still have the opportunity to be seen.
