Hi Hope Mamas, this is just a reminder that we will be meeting tomorrow. If you are new here and have questions about our group, please don’t hesitate to send us a message. We hope to connect with you 🤍

Join us for our next Hope Mamas meet-up 🤍

We will be gathering on June 13 at 9:00 AM at Giddy-Up Coffeehouse Greenville NC.

This is a space for women who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss to connect, share, or simply sit with others who understand. Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, you are welcome here.

Grief can feel incredibly isolating, but you don’t have to walk it alone. We would love to sit with you.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.

One of the most overlooked realities of pregnancy and infant loss is that grief doesn't only impact a family emotionally—it can impact them spiritually as well.

Many bereaved parents wrestle with questions they never expected to ask.

Some struggle with anger at God.

Some lose trust in the faith that once sustained them.

Some stop attending church altogether because being there feels too painful.

For many families, the loss of faith, spiritual certainty, or their relationship with God can become a profound secondary loss layered on top of the death of their baby.

Yet many pastors and ministry leaders have never been trained to navigate these conversations.

Pregnancy & Infant Loss Informed Church Training™ was created to help churches support bereaved families with compassion, confidence, and care—not by having all the answers, but by learning how to remain present in the questions.

This training equips church leaders to:

• Understand the unique realities of pregnancy and infant loss
• Know what to say—and what not to say
• Support families in the immediate aftermath of loss
• Navigate faith crises, anger at God, and spiritual struggles
• Provide meaningful long-term care
• Support fathers and subsequent pregnancies
• Create a church culture where bereaved parents feel seen, supported, and remembered

Because no family should have to walk through the death of their baby—or the crisis of faith that can follow it—alone.

If your church is interested in bringing this training to your staff, ministry team, or congregation, we'd love to connect.

As we step into the month of June, we hold space in our hearts for the precious babies who left too soon.

We honor the tiny lives that forever changed ours.
We speak their names with love. We stand with every parent navigating life after loss.

If your baby has a special June date — a birthday, due date, or other anniversary date — feel free to share their name or memory in the comments so we can remember with you.

You are loved. Your baby is remembered. Always. We are praying for you đź’ś

Today can be a beautiful day for many, but we know it can also be incredibly hard.

Mother’s Day can bring reminders of the babies we miss, the arms that feel empty, and the dreams that changed too soon. If today feels heavy, please know you are not alone.

If you carried life in your womb—even for a moment—you are a mother. Your love is real. Your baby matters. Your motherhood matters.

At Hope in the Waiting, we see you. We honor you. And we are holding space for you today.

However you spend this day—celebrating, grieving, remembering, or simply getting through—we are thinking of you and sending you so much love.

Today, on Nurses Day, we especially honor the nurses who walk alongside families in the moments no parent ever imagines.

The labor & delivery nurses, NICU nurses, ER nurses, OB nurses, postpartum nurses, hospice nurses—and every healthcare worker who has held the hand of a grieving mother while she said goodbye to her baby.

Thank you for showing compassion in the middle of heartbreak.
Thank you for remembering our babies’ names.
Thank you for treating every life, no matter how brief, as deeply meaningful.
Thank you for being steady when the world feels like it’s falling apart.

For so many loss moms, you were there during one of the most vulnerable and painful moments of their lives. Your kindness, gentleness, and care are never forgotten.

From all of us at Hope in the Waiting—
Happy Nurses Day to the nurses who carry both skill and compassion so beautifully.

Yesterday’s 3rd Annual Mother’s Day Brunch was truly beautiful. It was a special morning filled with love, remembrance, and community as we honored the strength and stories of mothers who carry their children in their hearts.

We are so grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning so meaningful. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing volunteers Madeline Fernandez-Pineda, Victoria Barfield, and Luisana Brito for helping decorate and set up. And to the attendees who stayed after to help clean up, thank you for your kindness and generosity.

A special thank you to our guest speaker Tabitha Harrison for bravely sharing her and DJ’s story publicly for the first time. Your courage and vulnerability meant so much, and your willingness to share such a deeply personal part of your journey touched the hearts of everyone in the room. We are so grateful you trusted us with DJ’s story.

We’re also thankful to Selah & Co Customs for the beautiful custom banner honoring our babies, and to CrossPointe Church for graciously allowing us to host the brunch in such a welcoming and peaceful space.

It was a meaningful morning of remembering our babies, honoring motherhood, and reminding one another that we are not alone. đź’›

If you missed this event, we would love to have you next year. Be sure to follow Hope in the Waiting to stay updated on future events.

Today is Bereaved Mother’s Day, observed on the first Sunday of May. Bereaved Mother’s Day honors mothers who have lost children—via miscarriage, stillbirth, or death at any age—or women who cannot have children. It is held one week before traditional Mother’s Day.

It’s a day that many people have never heard of…
until they unexpectedly find themselves in the category it represents.

This day recognizes a kind of motherhood that is often unseen by the world, but deeply felt in the hearts of the women who carry it.

Today we hold space for the moms who are missing someone.
The moms navigating both love and loss.
The moms who may feel unseen in the days leading up to Mother’s Day.

If this is you today, we see you.
Your motherhood matters.
Your baby matters.

You are not alone. 🤍
