As we reflect back today on 9/11/2001 today also marks the anniversary of the attacks on . Let’s also take the day to honor the men who died as well as the men who fought that night and lived to tell the true story of how it all went down. These men fault bravely and made the ultimate sacrifice. Get to know something about these men. Learn about them, read about them, they all had their own story up until that point and surely would have continued to have a positive impact on this country and their communities if their lives had not been cut short. Keep their names alive! 🇺🇸

On this night, September 10, 2001

246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their next shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift of saving lives.

None of them saw past 10:00 am the next morning Sept 11, 2001. In the blink of an eye, their lives were cut short.

Tonight, as you prepare for bed in preparation for your life tomorrow kiss your love ones and never take one second of your life for granted.

Today of course marks 21 years since 9/11/01, and if you are someone reading this in your 30s or older, I think it’s safe to assume you vividly remember where you were on that day that changed everything forever. As this audience knows much better than most though, it also marks an entire decade since the attacks on . Not sure what can be written that you haven’t read already or that you won’t see elsewhere today on social media. What can be said though, is let’s take the day to honor the men who died as well as the men who fought that night and lived to tell the true story of how it all went down. Politics will always be intertwined into the story of Benghazi due to the deliberate misinformation and disinformation put out by the U.S. government in the days and even years that followed. We know that, but let’s focus on the heroes. Get to know something about these men. Learn about them, read about them, they all had their own story up until that point and surely would have continued to have a positive impact on this country and their communities if their lives had not been cut short. Keep their names alive! 🇺🇸
