The FUSE staff is shouting a GIANT Happy 14th Birthday to Myles Cummins!

Myles is the son of our Director, Sara Cummins, and the reason Sara first became involved with FUSE. Her journey began as a mom looking for connection, support, and opportunities for Myles and grew into the passion she brings to FUSE every day.

Myles reminds us why our mission matters. Every child and family deserves to feel welcomed, valued, supported, and included in their community.

Today we celebrate this amazing young man!

Happy 14th Birthday, Myles!

Difference Maker Series: Meet Katie Jennings!

Katie Jennings has been making a difference as a FUSE Adaptive Swim instructor for the past three years.

A current high school senior, Katie also works as a seasonal lifeguard, teaches swim lessons through GCAT, and swims competitively year-round. She also serves as a peer in her school's special needs classroom, where she enjoys supporting students and building meaningful connections.

Katie loves giving back to her community and says her favorite part of Adaptive Swim is watching each participant grow in confidence and ability. She believes water safety is an essential life skill and that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn.

After high school, Katie plans to attend college and pursue a degree in either physical therapy or microbiology. When she's not in the pool, you'll find her reading, crafting, traveling with her family, spending time with friends, or caring for her blind chicken, Bella.

Thank you, Katie, for sharing your time, compassion, and talents with our Adaptive Swim participants. You truly are making a difference, one swimmer at a time!
