Our Virtual Financial Workshop Series with Gordon Homes, Financial Advisor & Special Care Planner, has been rescheduled for spring.

There will NOT be a session tonight, October 1, or on October 8 or October 15. Instead, we hope you’ll join us on our new dates:

September Look Back Post!

Looking back at September’s Difference Makers, we’re celebrating Caroline Felver and Hunter Chaffee!

These two amazing volunteers brought kindness, dedication, and encouragement to FUSE in their own special ways. From Hunter’s journey from FUSE participant to volunteer to Caroline’s passion for helping swimmers gain confidence and water safety skills, we are so grateful to have them as part of the FUSE family.

Great information from a great organization, Ability Allies

Understanding Student Behavior, BIPs, and FBAs
Many types of disabilities can impact a student’s behavior. If your child has an IEP and negative behaviors at school, it’s important to know what the school and the student’s case conference committee (CCC) should do to address the cause rather than just reacting to it.

Behavior professionals agree that behavior is communication. When a student struggles with behavior at school, it’s important to assess why the behavior is happening and what support may help. Two tools that can help are a Functional Behavioral Assessment (FBA) and a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP).
