We need help from all Greenbelt Co-op members that also use or support the Greenbelt Makerspace and Tool Library!

We need ** ✅ YES ** Votes to be part of Co-op's ROUND UP campaign for 2027. All voting is at the upcoming Co-op Supermarket Annual Meeting on 📅 17 October, @ 10:30am in the community center.

This year we received about $3,300 in donations towards needed tools, supplies, rent/insurance, and other costs that supported us improving our Tool Library and increasing the frequency of our Repair Cafes! We would love to be apart of the ROUND-UP campaign again in 2027.

Thank you to all those Co-op members that also support the Greenbelt Makerspace & Tool Library!!

🇺🇸 🎉 On Labor Day we had 21+ volunteers and members (one with four legs) join us to march in the labor day parade! We paraded in front of an expertly constructed trailer, handed out 6" rules with our website on them, flyers, and enjoyed saying hi and telling the community more about their neighborhood Makerspace and Tool Library!

🔧 ALSO - we had the wrench that 🎺Greenbelt HONK! Situation 🎺 needed to fix a flat tire, and they rejoined the parade right behind us, so we had GROOVE-INDUCING music to dance to the whole time 🦄

Our participation this year was made possible by the planning and participation of our volunteers ( Tim did a spectacular job getting the trailer put together and driving! ), the donations and grant money for the banners, rulers, and informational flyers, and of course the community of Greenbelt!!

Super-Volunteer Spotlight: Allison! 🛠️

We want to recognize Allison, one of our super volunteers at the Greenbelt Makerspace and Tool Library!

Allison shows up for at least two shifts every single week, helping keep our space running smoothly, welcoming members, and making sure the tools (and the people!) are taken care of. As an all-volunteer-led nonprofit, we simply couldn't do what we do without volunteers like her.

Whether you've borrowed a tool, stopped by a Repair Cafe, or just poked your head in during Open Hours, there's a good chance Allison has helped you out.

Thank you, Allison, for your incredible dedication and generosity with your time! 💛🧰

Aspiring to be a community volunteer too? Like learning about tools, repair jobs, and DIY'ing? Check out greenbeltmakers.org/volunteer to get involved.
