The Greenbelt MakerSpace Tool Library volunteers are having fun in the LABOR DAY PARADE! Our DRILL TEAM (get it?) will walk and some will ride on a trailer. We'll line up about 9:00am and be done before noon. More details will be provided to those who sign up.

Super-Volunteer Spotlight: Allison! ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

We want to recognize Allison, one of our super volunteers at the Greenbelt Makerspace and Tool Library!

Allison shows up for at least two shifts every single week, helping keep our space running smoothly, welcoming members, and making sure the tools (and the people!) are taken care of. As an all-volunteer-led nonprofit, we simply couldn't do what we do without volunteers like her.

Whether you've borrowed a tool, stopped by a Repair Cafe, or just poked your head in during Open Hours, there's a good chance Allison has helped you out.

During our July 2026 Repair Cafรฉ we served 23 individuals in 2 short hours. We fixed or provided needed repair advice for 35 out of 39 items brought in (an 84% "fix rate"!). Our Repair Cafe events provide an opportunity to get help fixing, repairing, or mending items you bring in - from furniture, to bikes, electronics, sewing repairs and more. Of all our Tools, the 25FT Heavy Duty Extension Cord was one of our *most borrowed items* with 26 different check-outs by Members over the last year (June 2025 - June 2026). We've had a few questions on this.... our Monthly Repair Cafe tomorrow (which includes a Tool Sale this month) is **free and open to anyone from the public**. You do not need to be a member to come to the Repair Cafe and get some help with repairs!

If you want to borrow tools from our Tool Library to take home for maintenance projects, DIY, or other activities, then you will need to register to be a member.

AND this month there will be a ๐Œ๐š๐ค๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐š๐œ๐ž ๐“๐จ๐จ๐ฅ ๐’๐š๐ฅ๐ž at the same time as the Repair Cafe!
