Greenbelt Lakewood Civic Association

Greenbelt Lakewood Civic Association Greenbelt Lakewood Civic Association (Est.1959) helps neighbors make Lakewood homes a wonderful community to raise a family and live in harmony.

The Lakewood homes within Greenbelt were completed in 1959. Soon after, the designs won an award for “home of the year.” The arrangement of homes in the development utilized the contours of the land, preserving as much green areas as possible. There were 104 homes in the original development; three additional homes were built on Empire Place in 1967, and one GHI home was built on Greenhill Road la

ter. 108 homes are now included in Lakewood. The Greenbelt Lakewood Civic Association has bettered the community by being an active and cohesive voice to the City of Greenbelt government, bringing improvements such as repairs, lighting, and signage to our streets. If you are homeowner or resident within the housing subdivision, please join your voice with your neighbors so we can continue to make Lakewood a wonderful community to raise a family and live in harmony. The primary website of the association is located at https://sites.google.com/site/greenbeltlakewood/ while the Facebook group for current and past residents is located at https://www.facebook.com/groups/greenbelt.lakewood/.
