Drop-in Grief Group for LGBTQAI Community Members:
Grief is a hard and vulnerable time and it is important to have safer spaces to process what we are going through. This group is intended for adult members of the LGBTQAI community who are grieving a past or approaching death. The group will be facilitated by a licensed q***r therapist but will be loosely structured and offer an opportunity for participants to share their feelings and grieve with community. This group will meet the second Tuesday of every month from 6:00-7:30 in the Pasadena CLC.

This Coming Saturday June 4th, 2022 1-4pm on Greenbelt Day Weekend Greenbelt Voices Rising will host The 1st Greenbelt Pride Fest 2022 at Roosevelt Center in front of The Mother and Child Statue!!! Come celebrate the Start of Pride Month and all who made history and did it with pride from LGBTQIA+ Community!! Come here from speakers and enjoy music and fellowship as we celebrate Pride!!!

Greenbelt Prides past President Hilary Howes is on tonight at 9pm eastern. Please join her for Transpositive on KBOO Community Radio on Tuesday, September 7th as they talk with her and Sheila Mengert about being transgender and Catholic. According to Wikipedia, Catholics account for about 1.3 billion of the world's population which represents a large number of transgender people. Overwhelmingly transgender folks flee the catholic church because of how they view the teaching of the church on LGBTQ issues. Hilary Howes is admin of transcatholic.org and member of a tradition within the Catholic church that accepts and celebrates transgender people as created in the image of god. Sheila Mengert is a lifelong catholic and author of Transexualism and It's Discontents. We will have a discussion with Sheila and Hilary about their own unique interpretations of their faith tradition and its intersection with their transgender identity.
