"I've never been this close to a cow before!"

We moved a freezer last week (we've got a new food partnership coming!) so I hunted down a few teenage boys who needed something to do.

In the process, we encountered cows, discussed why the Bible is trustworthy and other books are not, and learned a few lessons on hard work. Praise God for the big lessons that come through little moments!

Last week I had the honor of sitting in on a Bible Study Club that this sweet girl and her cousin are starting at the GRPS High School! They had over 10 kids there, hungry for the gospel. They planned food, invited guest speakers, and handed out Bibles. I praise God for their faithfulness! God is raising up a new generation of evangelists!

Did you know up to 90% of Gen Z adults say they experience apprehension or anxiety about making phone calls? Not our girls, though! Last week at Girls Night, we practiced making phone calls for various reasons. Lost debit cards, dentist appointments, and pizza ordering! These girls are building skills that will last them well into adulthood!

Not only that, we have given away more than 10 Bibles in the last week alone. These teens are passionate about reading the Bible and having it available at home!

God is #1!! Our KidsZone students spent last week learning about our Omnipotent God! They continued their review of all that we learned last year while focusing on God's great power! We welcomed 4 new kiddos last week as well!

Our Jr Pathfinders took on a new challenge this past week - navigating with a map and compass. They were so good at this new skill that they conveniently ended up at an ice cream shop 🍨

They also took the time to learn about Rahab and the destruction of Jericho. One of the cool ways God used that lesson was to talk about the Ark of the Covenant and the honor of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us!

Our theme verse at Pivotal this semester is Romans 10:9 - If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

We are starting off strong by talking about what it means to believe. We are digging into apologetics, faith, and our own testimonies. Be praying that each student is moved to deeper faith over the next few weeks!

We have also spent a lot of time hitting each other in the face with tortillas while our mouths are full of water. Apparently, this is a very popular game among today's youth 😂

Pathfinder Girls started the year off last week! We spent most of the night talking about unity and the importance of loving everyone in our group! We made some awesome egg drop contraptions - all with only one hand - that Miss Julia happily dropped off the top of the van! What a fun night!
