The burn ban is STILL IN EFFECT until further notice.

• 🌧️ What about the rain? Even with the recent rainfall, current moisture levels are not enough to lift the restrictions.

• 🚫 What is restricted? No outdoor burning is permitted at this time.

• 🔄 When will it change? The Fire Marshal's Office will issue an official notice when conditions improve and changes are made.

SEVERE WEATHER & FLOODING POSSIBLE THIS WEEK

Hood County could see several rounds of thunderstorms Wednesday through Friday. The National Weather Service says some storms may become severe as they arrive late Wednesday afternoon and evening. Heavy rain through Friday could also cause localized flooding, especially on low-lying roads and at crossings.

Now is a good time to secure loose outdoor items, charge your phone, and make sure you can receive weather alerts. If a warning is issued for your location, move indoors and follow the instructions from the National Weather Service.

Never drive through a flooded roadway or around a barricade. Turn Around, Don’t Drown.

The timing and location of the strongest storms and heaviest rain may change. We’ll continue monitoring conditions and share updates as needed.

We are out at Stone Water Church for the Emergency Preparedness Fair (911 E Hwy US 377). We will be here from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM talking safety, showing off the trucks, and hanging out with our awesome community.
