With full hearts and deep gratitude, we share that after much prayer, wrestling, and conversation, we have made the decision to dissolve The Beau Bear Organization.

What began from deep loss became something far beyond what we could have imagined. Because of your generosity, love, and willingness to step in, we were able to walk alongside so many families in some of their darkest moments.

We have been in awe of how God has moved through every donation, every volunteer, every shared story, and every act of kindness from our community and even complete strangers. You helped turn pain into purpose and made sure families felt seen, supported, and not alone.

To every donor, supporter, volunteer, and business who gave, you were part of something eternal. Thank you for believing in this mission and for carrying it with us.

While this chapter is coming to a close, the heart behind Beau Bear will always remain.

With so much love and gratitude ❤️ The Mills

We just moved into our new home, and while going through boxes in our shop yesterday, I saw this little guy—a tiny sprout growing straight out of a hole in the concrete. No soil. No sunlight. No ideal conditions. And yet… there it was. Alive. Reaching upward.

It stopped me in my tracks.

Because right now, so many are walking through unimaginable devastation. Floods have torn apart homes, families, and entire communities. The grief feels like concrete—heavy, hard, and unyielding.

But this sprout reminded me: even in the middle of the rubble, hope can take root.
Even in the most broken places, life will find a way.

To the mamas, daddies, grandparents, and neighbors holding onto what little strength you have left—we see you. We ache with you. We are praying for you.

And we believe with everything in us: this is not the end of your story.

You will rebuild. You will breathe again. You will laugh again. Not today, maybe not tomorrow—but healing will come.

God is near to the brokenhearted. And somehow, even through cement, He makes a way for life to grow.

🐻Flood Relief Update | Beau Bear Organization 🐻

This past week has wrecked our hearts and strengthened our mission.

We’ve come face-to-face with parents holding photos instead of children. Families with no home to return to. Widows and fathers standing in line for food—grieving, broken, and overwhelmed. One father, Tim, lost his wife, his children, and his home in the flood. There are no words for that kind of pain—only our presence, prayers, and practical help.

With your support, we’ve stepped in quickly—covering funeral costs, providing temporary housing, food, transportation, and daily essentials to families in their most fragile moments.

💛 We’ve connected with JustOpenArms.com on the ground for cleanup, supply delivery, and direct connection with those hurting the most.
✝️We’ve been in contact with Williams-Jones Funeral Home and others to help coordinate arrangements for multiple families.
⛪ We’re also working closely with local churches to make sure the right families are supported in the right ways.

None of this happens without you.

💛 To those who have given—substantial gifts, anonymous donations, or whatever you could spare—we are deeply grateful. The impact you’ve made is huge. We truly could not do this without your hearts of generosity. God is moving through His people.

Please continue to pray for these families. Every dollar given helps us meet a real, urgent need. If you’d like to support this effort, message us or visit beaubear.org to give.

We will continue to share needs as we walk this road with them.

These are some of my favorite photos I ever took of our son. And it’s not lost on me that they’ve resurfaced during a week of such unimaginable tragedy.

My heart is heavy with grief and freshly stirred with compassion for the families who are now walking through the unthinkable—life after losing a child.

Please take a moment today to pray for them. They need it more than we can ever know. 💔

💙 The Beau Bear Organization 💙
A non-profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to walking with families through the deepest heartbreak—child loss.

We began this journey after losing our youngest son, Beau, in a tragic accident. What was once unthinkable became our reality, and now it’s our mission to be a light for others in the darkest moments of their lives.

We’re heartbroken over the devastation and loss of life caused by the Texas floods—especially at Camp Mystic, a girls’ summer camp in our Hill Country near the Guadalupe River.

In the early hours of July 4, flash floods from the Guadalupe River surged over 20–29 feet, sweeping away cabins and riverside homes. As of July 6, more than 80 lives lost, including at least 28 children, with around 10 girls and a camp counselor still missing

‼️‼️Every dollar we raise from this link goes directly to supporting families who lost children in the flood. Thank you for helping us carry hope into heartbreak.‼️‼️

We’re still reflecting on all God did this past weekend. The Lord has been in every detail—woven into every prayer, every family, every business, and every individual who donated, bid, gave their time, or offered their resources in support of The Beau Bear Organization.

Because of you, we’re able to meet families in their most tender moments—helping 2 to 3 families each week. The need is great, but so is the hope. And because of your generosity, we have the ability, the funding, and the encouragement to keep showing up and spurring these families on toward healing.

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.” – Hebrews 10:23
From the bottom of our hearts, The Beau Bear Organization extends our deepest gratitude. You’re helping carry hope forward, one family at a time.
