📣 THE ELIZABETH GAMBLE FOUNDATION IS GROWING OUR BOARD!

We are looking for committed, community-minded leaders who are ready to bring their time, experience, connections, and ideas to the table.

We are specifically seeking individuals with experience in:

• Fundraising and donor development
• Grant writing
• Marketing and public relations
• Legal and nonprofit governance
• Finance and accounting
• Community partnerships
• Youth, family, or senior services

This is a working board. We need people who are willing to attend meetings, serve on a committee, help build partnerships, support fundraising efforts, and be an active ambassador for our mission.

Our work supports underserved children, families, and seniors throughout the Tri-County area. As we continue to grow, we need a strong board that will help us create an even greater impact.

We are not simply looking to fill seats. We are looking for people who are ready to serve, contribute, and help move the mission forward.

Our hearts were truly warmed by the incredible support we received during on Friday! 💙🎒

Thank you to every volunteer who gave their time, energy, and helping hands to make the event possible. A very special thank-you goes to the amazing students from the Military Magnet Academy Robotics Team you all showed up ready to serve, and your hard work did not go unnoticed!

OFFICIAL STATEMENT REGARDING PACK THE BACK HAIRCUTS

To the parents and families who registered for free haircuts at Pack the Back, we sincerely apologize that this service was not provided as promised.

Our organization secured barbers for the event and issued 75 haircut tickets based on that confirmed commitment. Unfortunately, the barbers did not arrive, and our team was not notified in advance that they would be unable to attend. This situation was beyond the control of the Elizabeth Gamble Foundation and the Pack the Back team.

We understand that many families planned around this opportunity, and we are deeply sorry for the disappointment and inconvenience this caused especially so close to the start of school.

We are currently arranging another opportunity for the children with pending tickets to receive their haircuts this Sunday. Parents who registered should closely monitor the email address used during registration for the updated details.

Thank you for your patience, grace, and continued trust in the Elizabeth Gamble Foundation. We remain committed to making this right for our families.

This year we introduced the Golden Backpack award, as our way to say thank you the vendor that shared the most on social media.
