.casa joined forces with Amy Herrmann -://mrsclauswithacause.com/services Powhatan County, Virginia highlight how both organizations support local children in need! We received incredible encouragement from the community, including members of the local Sheriff’s Department who stopped by to commend our work.

Board member KathrynGlass , helped kiddos make pumpkins and handed out goody bags, while Powhatan CASA Supervisor Deirdre Vaughan invited children to add acts of kindness to our CASA Kindness Tree. Incoming board member Meghan Ellis also joined to spread the word about our mission.

Throughout the night, Mrs. Claus with a Cause collaborated with us, sharing her display on supporting children who have experienced trauma. Both tables were packed all evening with fun, laughter, and meaningful conversations.

CASA Supervisor, Deirdre Vaughan, had a wonderful time representing Goochland Powhatan CASA at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Powhatan Fine Creek Park Education Connection trail.

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with local leaders and show our strong support for the Powhatan community! Deirdre had the pleasure of networking with Board of Supervisors Chairman Bill Donati, Jr., as well as Powhatan Parks and Recreation Foundation Board member Andrew D. Snead, his wife Fannie Snead (in picture).

We are so grateful for events like these that bring our community together to support open spaces, local education, and child advocacy! 💙 Visit Powhatan, VA Powhatan County Parks & Recreation Powhatan County, Virginia Powhatan Today Newspaper

Celebrating a very special member of our GP CASA family! Our Executive Director, Renae, and retired Executive Director, Ann Casey , stopped by to visit -our fantastic marketing volunteer! We had two big reasons to celebrate: thanking Cheryl for her dedication to sharing our mission, and congratulating her on the arrival of her new baby granddaughter! 👶💖

Ann presented Cheryl with a gorgeous hand-crocheted afghan, and Renae brought along some CASA swag to show our gratitude. Thank you, Cheryl, for your incredible gift of time, talent, and friendship! .casa
