From Outreach President Wilfred Korth:

“I want to share the highlights of our work in 2025.”

BUT FIRST, I want to THANK all those businesses and individuals who made financial and food donations to Outreach in 2025. Without your support we could not do our job of helping those with food insecurity issues.

Second, I want to thank ALL of our volunteers, both our monthly regulars and those helping thru organizations and churches. In 2025 our volunteers contributed over 3,000 hours of service. This dedicated group is invaluable to the success of our program.

In 2025 the Goliad Outreach purchased 140,789 pounds of food to distribute. We assisted an average of 156 families 2 times each month, representing an average of 379 individuals. We currently have 380 families on our distribution list and with increasing food prices and increasing costs of living our list continues to grow.

If you or an organization you are in would like to volunteer and/or make a donation please reach out. We bag groceries the Wednesdays before the 1st and 3rd Thursdays (distribution day) every month.

I look forward to serving as the Goliad County Outreach President in 2026 and helping to meet the needs of our Goliad County Citizens.

Goliad County Outreach volunteers gathered after our last distribution day to say thanks and job well done to our outgoing president Tony Kouba. Our new president Wilfred Korth was also welcomed. Thanks to both of these hardworking, caring guys!

The Cub Closet at Goliad Middle School is open to the public from 3-5 pm on Tuesdays. Lots of great items at inexpensive prices. Goliad Lions Club just delivered many coats--just in time for the cold weather coming this weekend.
Now's the time to find some good deals. Go keep Ms. Henderson busy!
