👥✨Meet Darden Coors, one of our October Community Leaders and Golden Frontier Gala Honorary Chair.

Darden attended her first GCF gala with her parents in 1993, and more than three decades later, she returns as one of our Honorary Chairs. A fifth-generation Coors family member, Darden believes "we all have a responsibility to use our time, treasure and/or talents to serve our community" — and she has offered all three.

👥✨Meet Dr. Mark Pattridge, one of our October Community Leaders and Golden Frontier Gala Honorary Chair.

Mark is a Goldenite through and through — Earle Johnson Elementary, Golden Junior High, Golden High School, and five summers giving tours at the Coors Brewery. After medical school, he came home to open a family practice where he cared for Golden families for 32 years.

We’re excited to announce BGOLDN as this year’s B.I.G Grant recipient 💛

Selected annually by GCF's Board of Directors — and the center of our gala's paddle raise — the B.I.G. (Big Ideas in Golden) Grant fuels bold, community-centered initiatives that create visible and lasting impact for the people of Golden.

In 2025, BGOLDN served 6,031 families, distributing more than 179,000 pounds of fresh, healthy food to more than 4,400 individuals — and demand is growing. Together, we’ll raise our paddles to help purchase a delivery vehicle, providing the reliable transportation needed to keep fresh, healthy food moving into our community.

The neon ‘THEATER’ sign at Miners Alley Performing Arts Center leads more than 30,000 guests a year to downtown Golden as a cornerstone of our arts and business community. Lisa DeCaro, Executive Director, and Len Matheo describe the nonprofit and theater as a “force multiplier for good” — giving back to other local charities, generating economic growth, and fostering community for theater lovers.

💡Did you know? GCF and Miners Alley have been partners For the Good of Golden for over 20 years. A GCF loan helped Miners Alley buy the old Meyer Hardware building, where the theater still stands today, and our partnership has continued to grow through the years. Together, we share two decades and one belief: Golden thrives when local organizations work together.
