"For us, buying those two tables each year isn't just about attending a gala. It's about bringing together people who care about Golden, introducing them to an organization that quietly does so much behind the scenes, and helping ensure those dollars stay right here in our community."

🎭“It's a physically and emotionally safe space for people to gather around the art of performance and theater and create a sense of belonging.” — Len Matheo, Director of Storytelling and Community Engagement at Miners Alley.

The neon ‘THEATER’ sign at Miners Alley Performing Arts Center leads more than 30,000 guests a year to downtown Golden as a cornerstone of our arts and business community. Lisa DeCaro, Executive Director, and Len Matheo describe the nonprofit and theater as a “force multiplier for good” — giving back to other local charities, generating economic growth, and fostering community for theater lovers.

💡Did you know? GCF and Miners Alley have been partners For the Good of Golden for over 20 years. A GCF loan helped Miners Alley buy the old Meyer Hardware building, where the theater still stands today, and our partnership has continued to grow through the years. Together, we share two decades and one belief: Golden thrives when local organizations work together.

👥✨ Meet Joy & Jack Brandt, our August 2026 Community Leaders.

Over five decades ago, Joy and Jack headed West to start a new chapter in Golden. Jack had accepted a position at the First National Bank in Golden, and Joy was to be a teacher in Cherry Creek. Their home search started with advice from a stranger; a Nebraska gas station attendant told them to find Heine Foss, a GCF Founder who later became a good friend of the couple, when they arrived in Colorado. 59 years later, they’re still here and working For the Good of Golden.

Visit the link in the comments to read their full story — the gas station, the gold jacket, and five decades of Golden — on our website.

Rooted in over 15 years of community partnership, The Golden Cruise brings together neighbors for a bike ride through Golden once a month every summer. Joined by live music, local businesses, and a rotating featured nonprofit, the cruise serves as both a gathering for neighbors and an easy way to support the local community. We’ll see you tonight at the cruise 🚲💛

🚨LAST CHANCE! Give to Golden Now before July 31, 2026 to double your impact with our matching campaign.

One gift to Golden Now reaches the Golden Bike Cruise along with 49 other local nonprofits and organizations in our network. Golden’s nonprofits are already reporting a demand 40% higher than last year. Your gift, at any size, goes to the hardworking nonprofits carrying this load.
