The first spring outdoor Sierra Club volunteer day is next week: you can register at sc.org/lavistaworkday2. The Three Rivers Project of Sierra Club Illinois, the Village of Godfrey, the Godfrey Sustainability Commission, and MAS Professional Services will host ‘The Spring Edition’ of the Invasive Species Management Training and Work Day to allow community members to learn invasive species management techniques for the spring season. The event, which is set for Wednesday, March 27, will include a 30-minute training session followed by a work session to put new skills and knowledge to use. Municipalities’ public works, parks departments, right-of-way crews, and local community members are invited to register for this event at sc.org/lavistaworkday2. Many thanks in advance for helping keep our local woods healthy!

One of our great partners has some incredible, free listening sessions coming up! These may be of particular interest to all beginning, urban, diversified, and direct-market farmers!

Calling all beginning, diversified/direct-market, and urban farmers! Have you registered for our virtual farmer listening sessions?

Please join us for a listening session or sessions that best fit your operation. We want to hear your story because your experience - and your farm dreams - matter.

The key of the listening sessions is to identify local needs and opportunities around conservation programs ahead of the 23 Farm Bill.
