All God's Children Shall Have Shoes This is a local all volunteer organization that supples shoes and socks to children in need. They realized there was a need in the community.

All God’s Children started in the late 1960’s when a group of Illinois Bell utility workers saw some children walking home from school with holes in their shoes. The men sought donations from co-workers and were able to purchase 20 pairs of shoes that year for area children. It was run and funded by the utility workers for many years and facilitated by local residents Ford and Colleen Green. As th

e years progressed and the charity began to reach more children and communities, it became necessary to recruit more donors and volunteers. We work with the area school administration in picking out the children and the local police and fireman in our community assist in putting shoes on the children. In allocating additional resources to the charity, we have been able to facilitate many positive changes, including registration as a 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization (EIN80-0958269), which both expand the programs and allow us to help more children each year.
