David G. Ouellet Division, NSCC David G. Ouellet Div. Sea Cadets is a non-profit youth development and leadership program. The David G. Ouellet Division of the U.S.

Naval Sea Cadet Corps is a non-profit youth development and leadership program for ages 10 through the completion of high school. We provide compelling, training programs that instill the values of teamwork, discipline, camaraderie, and service through our passionate all-volunteer force and our partnerships with our nation's armed forces. The program will teach them how to become a "good shipmate"

and to eventually lead groups of their peers. These life skills will inspire them to become leaders in their schools, their communities, and into adulthood. We train at the Gloucester Veterans Service Office located at 12 Emerson Ave, Gloucester, Ma.

The Division had the opportunity to set up a recruiting tent at the 11th Annual Military Appreciation Day held at the Patton Homestead. On top with speaking with many citizens about the program, the Cadets got to venture out to see the many static displays of Military History with Vehicles, Re-enactments, and a reading of the Declaration of Independence to celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary.

Today marked our last drill of the office drill year and our End of the Year Awards Ceremony. As you can see from the photos, we handed out many certificates for awards that the Cadets had earned throughout the year. They all put in a ton of work and I am very proud of them.

We are very sad to loose PO1 Smullin and SN Taibot who are graduating out of the program and heading off to college next fall. Both were excellent leaders and have put many years into the program. I wish them all the best in their studies.

We have many Cadets heading off to Summer Trainings and still many events planned this month and July for Community Service.

Bravo Zulu Everyone!
