YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix 🧡 Empowering women. Eliminating racism.🧡
✨ Advocating for equity & justice in Metropolitan Phoenix. Join us!

YWCA is the oldest and largest multicultural women's organization in the world. Across the globe, we have more than 25 million members in 122 countries, including 2 million members in 300 local associations in the United States. More important than the numbers, is our mission to eliminate racism and empower women. We provide opportunities for women and girls, build strong women leaders, and advocate for women's rights and civil rights in Congress. At YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix, we champion racial and gender justice through our financial education courses for young women, providing meals for homebound seniors, and educating the public on how to be anti-racist through various workshops and classes offered over the course of the year.

She's bold. She's brilliant. She deserves every chance to thrive. 🧡

This International Day of the Girl, we're celebrating girls across Arizona and the future they're building. Through our For Every Girl campaign, we're working to make sure every girl in our state has the resources and support to reach her full potential.

Join us in investing in her future. Link in bio.

Today is World Mental Health Day, and here's something our team sees every day: a meal is never just a meal. It's someone who knows your name. A seat saved just for you. A reason to come back tomorrow.

Hear from Kathy Saunders, Dignity for All Director, on why community is part of how we take care of each other.

Calling all Black and Latina young women in Maricopa County! 📣

We've teamed up with Valley of the Sun United Way on Pathways to Economic Opportunity. If you're currently in an apprenticeship, internship, or similar work-based learning program, join us for mentorship, career workshops, financial literacy training, and wrap-around support to help you build a strong future.

Want to give back? We're also looking for mentors who can give two hours a month to guide the next generation. 🧡

Empowering women. That’s who we are, at our core, every single day.

And when universities, businesses, and governments look the other way, sexual violence becomes normal. We refuse to accept that.

From the Cornell case to campuses to communities nationwide, survivors are rising up to say no more. Every woman, girl, and femme-bodied person deserves to live with safety and dignity, free from violence and the threat of violence.

Join us today for the National Day of Action. You can find local events or virtual action at womensmarch.com/stopsexualviolence.

They packed our lunches. They saved us a plate. They made sure no one at the table went hungry. And we return the favor every day.

Through Congregate and Home Delivered Meals, we make sure older adults in Glendale have a good meal and good company. Because we believe dignity isn't extra. It's the standard.

This International Day of Older Persons, help us keep it going. Link in bio.

Hispanic Heritage Month spotlight: Alicia Jacobo Kenney, BSW. 💃

She runs Foster360: a Mesa organization that meets young adults at the exact moment the foster care system lets go of them, with housing, trauma-informed care, and someone in their corner.

Running an underfunded organization that does this kind of work is hard. She does it anyway. And you can support her, along with five other underfunded Arizona organizations serving women and girls, with the For Every Girl campaign. Click the link to donate: bit.ly/everygirldonate.
