Across the globe, we have more than 25 million members in 122 countries, including 2 million members in 300 local associations in the United States. More important than the numbers, is our mission to eliminate racism and empower women. We provide opportunities for women and girls, build strong women leaders, and advoca

te for women's rights and civil rights in Congress. At YWCA Metropolitan Phoenix, we champion racial and gender justice through our financial education courses for young women, providing meals for homebound seniors, and educating the public on how to be anti-racist through various workshops and classes offered over the course of the year.

But on this National Senior Citizens Day, we want to give them a MAJOR shout out for being the true heartbeat of our organization. They serve on our staff. They lead our volunteers.
