From our friends at Sunnyslope Historical Society who have done something very cool for Glendale...

Calling all Wallace, Ladmo & Pat McMahon fans! 📺

We have some fun Arizona history news to share!

The Wallace & Ladmo Show special edition library card is now available at select Glendale Public Library locations throughout September—while supplies last!

For generations of Arizonans, Wallace, Ladmo, and Pat McMahon were more than television personalities. They were a beloved part of growing up in Arizona, bringing laughter, music, cartoons, and a whole lot of fun into homes across the state. Now you can carry a little piece of that history in your wallet!

Where Can You Get One?
During the month of September, you can sign up for a special edition Wallace & Ladmo library card at:

Foothills Library
19055 N. 57th Ave., Glendale, AZ 85308

Heroes Regional Park Library
6075 N. 83rd Ave., Glendale, AZ 85303

Main Library
5959 W. Brown St., Glendale, AZ 85302

Please note: Velma Teague Library is temporarily closed for facility repairs.

And there’s an extra surprise! 🎁
Everyone who signs up for a Wallace & Ladmo special edition card during September will be eligible to win their very own Ladmo Bag!
How fun is that? A library card celebrating Arizona television history—and a chance to bring home one of the most recognizable pieces of the Wallace & Ladmo legacy!

This special opportunity is being offered by the Glendale Public Library in collaboration with the Wallace and Ladmo Show Foundation.

Whether you grew up watching the show every day, remember the excitement of getting a Ladmo Bag, or simply want to introduce a new generation to a little piece of Arizona history, this is a great opportunity to celebrate a true Arizona classic.

Sometimes even the GAHS archives team is suprized by what they find.
While looking through a boxed collection for a requested item, the volunteer stumbled across a 1955 news clipping showing our own Martha Dennis, along with her family, on the NYC leg of their whirlwind vacation. Is this cool, or what?
This is a perfect post for throw back Thursday...but then again, here at GAHS, we are always old school. 😉
