🔭 Scouts — the night sky is waiting!

The New Jersey Astronomical Association welcomes Scout groups interested in exploring astronomy and working toward their Astronomy Merit Badge.
Our astronomers can help bring the night sky to life through observing, demonstrations, and conversations about the science of astronomy—all while supporting Scout leaders and Merit Badge Counselors in their program.

🌟 Scout leaders, we invite you to explore our Scouting resources and discover how NJAA can help make astronomy a memorable part of your Scouts’ experience.

To our Members and Friends.

The safety of our members and visitors is our utmost priority at the New Jersey Astronomical Association.

Regrettably, we must announce the cancellation of our regularly scheduled Saturday evening star gazing event,
which was planned for tomorrow night, due to the likelihood of severe thunderstorms in the forecast from 6:00pm to 1:00AM Sunday.

We understand that these events are eagerly anticipated, and we share your disappointment in having to make this decision. However, safety concerns dictate that we exercise caution when weather conditions pose potential risks.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you back under “clear" skies next Saturday evening.

Stay safe and keep looking up!

President, NJAA
