Bill Enright is this year’s well-deserved recipient of the Flag Day Award! As an educator at the College of DuPage, Bill has demonstrated an outstanding commitment to teaching, mentorship, and fostering informed civic participation among his students. This is what anyone who is NOT an administrator has to deal with!!!!! Enough is enough! We see.you CODSU!

The CODSU bargaining team met with College administration on Wednesday, May 20.

As of today, the College has failed to provide counterproposals on 13 separate items. Our bargaining team has spent significant time researching issues, developing language, and evaluating how proposals would apply in both real and hypothetical situations before bringing them to the table.

In response, the College has rejected multiple proposals outright without offering alternative language or meaningful counterproposals, leaving little direction for productive movement.

Our bargaining team remains committed to pushing these issues forward.

Our next bargaining session is June 4. We encourage members to show solidarity by wearing CODSU shirts or buttons on bargaining days. Visibility matters, and our collective strength at the table depends on member engagement and support.

IEA's legislation on Notice to Remedy, SB 2914, passed out of the Illinois House of Representatives. It passed the Illinois Senate in April, and both chambers passed the bill with veto-proof majorities. It now awaits Gov. JB Pritzker’s signature to become law.

May 19, 2026: During faculty appreciation week, CODAA donated 160lbs of food to the COD food pantry! 🥰

They were in need of soup and granola bars, so CODAA was happy to help.

Items donated; granola bars, nutrigrain bars, soup, canned meat, peanut butter, cereal, chips, rice, fruit cups, and more.

Remembering Maren McKellin

Please join us on Tuesday, May 19 from 2–4 p.m. at COD's Lakeside Pavilion as we honor the life and legacy of our dear friend and colleague, Maren McKellin.

A beloved College of DuPage staff member in Field and Experiential Learning, Study Abroad and Global Education programs, Maren dedicated 35 years to supporting students, colleagues and the campus community.

We will share stories, laughter and memories in remembrance of Maren. Guests are encouraged to bring a favorite story or written memory to share.
