We often get asked two important questions: “How can I donate?” and “How can a veteran apply for a service dog?”

Thankfully, both are easy to find on the Paws Healing Heroes website.

If you would like to support the mission, visit pawshealingheroes.org and select “Donate Now.” Donations can be made by credit/debit card, Venmo, PayPal, or by mail. PAWS Healing Heroes states that 100% of donated money goes back to dogs and veterans.

If you’re a veteran interested in receiving a service dog, visit the “Get A Dog” page and complete the application. From there, PAWS can begin the process of finding the right fit.

The mission is simple: rescue a dog, train that dog, and place them with a veteran who needs a new battle buddy.

Whether you donate, share this video, or help connect a veteran with Paws Healing Heroes, you can help make a difference.

There’s something special about people who don’t just talk about giving back — they actually show up and do it.

In Episode 5 of the Paws Healing Heroes Podcast, we sit down with members of the South Jersey Business Association and talk about their longtime support of Paws Healing Heroes and disabled veterans.

Over the years, their fundraising efforts have helped provide service dogs to veterans, while building a relationship that has grown into genuine friendship and community.

And because this is Paws Healing Heroes, we also manage to talk about everything from golf outings and business to eggs, comedy, and plenty of good-natured trash talk. 😂

Hear the stories behind the people helping make a difference.

One of the biggest things a rescue needs isn't a building, a truck, or even supplies.

It's foster homes. 🐾

In this clip from Episode 4, Danielle explains why Peyton’s Place is constantly looking for fosters. She can have several foster dogs in her own home at any given time, but there are only so many dogs that can be placed without people willing to open their homes.

When dogs arrive, the foster families meet up, pick them up, and receive the harnesses and leashes they'll need.

It sounds simple… until a bunch of dogs come flying in different directions. 😂

But behind the chaos is something incredibly important: without fosters, there are dogs who have to wait.

Fostering isn't just helping a rescue. It's helping create the space for another dog to be saved.

When asked how he relaxes, Mark gave a pretty honest answer: he laughs at his wife. 😂

But the conversation also turns to Dorian, and you quickly get a glimpse of the kind of kid he is.

Around Christmas, Dorian noticed a woman at Target struggling and asked his dad if they could buy things for her children. And when the family goes sledding, he doesn't spend his time trying to be the first one down the hill—he goes to the bottom and helps other kids back up.

Those little moments say a lot about a person.

In a podcast filled with conversations about veterans, service dogs, and rescue work, it's moments like this that remind us how important compassion and kindness are in everyday life. ❤️🐾
