Editorialists often repeat in OP-EDs the worn out statement with a subsequent question - "The war is over; you lost; get over it. Why do Southerners still hold Confederate Memorial Day services?"

Every country observes a Remembrance/Memorial Day for their war dead, regardless of whether they won or lost. The United States remembers those who gave their lives in a war lost on a Memorial in Washington, DC that has 56,000+ names inscribed.

The South remembers the approximately 300,000 of its men and boys who fought and died . The South remembers the old men, women and young children that died as a result of the invasion. I have family members who died in the war buried in MS, GA, NC, NY and VA to be remembered. That sanctified soil wherein they lie contains bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh and blood of my blood. Throughout this beloved Southland, we will forever remember.

"GET OVER IT"
1. UNTIL laws are passed with severe penalties imposed by courts protecting our Memorials, gravesites and artifacts.......
2. UNTIL movie makers, TV networks and the mass media show respect for the Southern people.......
3. UNTIL the revisionists and "Cancel Culture" movement accept the fact that history is history and cannot be changed......
4. UNTIL our flags and banners are allowed to be unfurled and fly freely in the Southern breeze.....
IT AIN'T OVER UNTIL WE SOUTHERNERS SAY IT'S OVER!!!!
