Since it was founded as a teen drop-in center in 1972, Community Solutions has grown in both depth and breadth of services in response to the growing and changing needs of our community. Today we provide a comprehensive spectrum of prevention, intervention, treatment, and residential services to the communities of Santa Clara and San Benito Counties. We provide services and support to help childre

n, families, and individuals overcome the challenges posed by mental health issues, substance abuse, trauma, severe family dysfunction, sexual and domestic violence, and human trafficking. Our Strategic Planning Advisory Committee (S**C) came together for a retreat last week at The Neon Exchange for a day of reflection, connection, and strategic planning. Over the past 6 months this employee-led group has played a critical role in providing input and engaging staff, client, and community voices to inform Community Solutions’ 2026-2029 strategic plan.

During the retreat we got to see their work come to life and get a first look at our next 3-year strategic plan. Thank you to our S**C members, board members, and Lyons-Newman Consulting for an inspiring day. 🥳

Act today to protect access to vital care for our LGBTQ+ community members! 📢

The California State Assembly has included two major transgender healthcare budget priorities in its proposal:
• $26 million Transgender Health Care Fund
• $30 million Uncompensated Care Fund

This is a major step forward and proof that our advocacy is working. But the fight is not over. The Senate did not include either proposal in its budget recommendations.

ACTIONS TO TAKE:
1. Send an Email to Legislators: https://app.oneclickpolitics.com/campaign-page?cid=WAK3eycRiNdMsSddtUzV1&lang=en. Tell Sacramento to fully fund the $26 million Transgender Health Care Fund and the $30 million Uncompensated Care Fund in the final state budget.

We are sincerely grateful to Assemblymember Pellerin for acknowledging Community Solutions and the collective impact of our community.”
