NR Response Crew Disaster Response
Outdoor support The New Ridge Fellowship Church Response Crew was started with two primary objectives. All volunteers are welcome!

First, to help people wIth downed trees, debris and outdoor cleanup after natural disasters. And second, to assist persons with outdoor work that they can’t do for themselves or afford to pay for. There is no charge for the work the response crew does. The response crew relies solely on donations from our congregation and generosity from supporters. There is no qualifying to receive response crew assistance. All that’s needed is a caring heart and a strong back.

The Response Crew helps after storms and cleans up overgrown properties. We have also done some "outside the box" tasks to support Our Neighbors!
Tomorrow will be one of those projects. We have been asked by Sue, part of our church family, to help to bury her dog. Sadly, she lost her best friend today. The Response Crew will help her with that difficult task.

Response Crew Storm Cleanup Update
On Saturday, the Response Crew assisted another family whose property was damaged by a tree brought down during the recent storm. The homeowners shared that a tree company had quoted them $2,500 for the work, saying, “We would have gone into debt to pay that.”
Nine Response Crew volunteers came together to remove the fallen tree, along with the stump, and even took down two additional dying trees that posed future safety concerns. By the end of the day, the yard was completely restored—just a little grass seed is needed to finish it off!

Wednesday’s storm hit David hard, like many others in the North End of Pottstown. But David is also battling a serious condition that restricts blood flow to his legs, making it difficult to walk and impossible for him to care for his yard on his own.
The Response Crew was able to assist by cleaning up many large downed branches and cutting back the overgrown area along the sidewalk.
As a result of Wednesday’s storm, the Response Crew assisted 13 families — some needing help with just a few branches, while others faced significant debris and damage. We have one remaining family with an 80 ft Maple tree down in their front yard. That will be Saturday’s task.
Near or far, the NR Response Crew is here for our neighbors!

Response Crew Pottstown Storm Cleanup — Day 2
Please pray for the people of Pottstown who were driven from their homes and whose houses and property were devastated by fallen trees during Wednesday's storm.
On Friday, the Response Crew helped five families with less severe damage by clearing large branches, removing massive amounts of debris from their yards, and even replacing sections of a broken fence.
When the rain stops, volunteers will be back in the North End of Pottstown, and surrounding areas, sharing the love of Christ and supporting our neighbors.
Thank you to everyone who continues to pray, serve, support, and show the love of Christ through these efforts.
