If you’ve ever danced at a wedding, prom, or event and thought “this DJ is incredible,” chances are that was DJ Gary.

Gary Uhrich, owner of The DJ Music System and a valued member of the Weborg 21 team, is well loved throughout the DJ and events community for keeping dance floors packed and capturing unforgettable moments of guests having the time of their lives. From local proms to weddings and celebrations, Gary has helped create memories for so many in our community.

Gary is also the heart behind our annual Bridal Show — an event we made the difficult decision to pause this year due to his absence, which speaks volumes about how much he means to our team and our events.

Gary is currently undergoing cancer treatment, and while he focuses on healing, we want to show up for him the same way he has shown up for so many others.

On Saturday, January 24th, join us for a night of live music and a silent auction where 100% of the proceeds will go directly to support Gary. Enjoy live performances by Judd Hoos and Jessie G, with Projekt 3D opening the evening. We are incredibly grateful to Projekt 3D for donating their time to help make this night possible.

If you’ve ever worked with Gary, attended an event he DJ’d, been part of a prom he ran, or simply know the impact he has made — this is a meaningful way to give back.

Whether you come for the music, the silent auction, or simply to show your support, we would love to see you.

🎁 Interested in donating a silent auction item? Please call Hotel 21 & Co. at 308-633-5795

💙 Can’t attend but still want to support Gary? Please call 308-633-5795 for donation options.

Let’s come together, enjoy great music, and support Gary in a big way.

All of this is spot on true. I sometimes feel like people expect me to be someone I’ll never be again no matter how long it’s been…a better friend, a more loving partner, a whole Mother to my other two children…Then the guilt cycle starts. It never gets easier and is truly exhausting. You grieve as hard as you love and I loved that precious girl of mine with everything and I always will. Hugs, prayers and understanding to all parents that live this as well 😢🙏🏻💚

What grieving parents need but don’t always have the strength to say~

* We need you to mention our child’s name. Not just on their birthday, but other times too.

* We need you to know that just because we may hide it well, doesn’t mean we’re not struggling inside.

*We need you to know that we don’t always want to have to remind you about our child. We secretly wish you would remember on your own.

*We need you to know that every day is a challenge no matter how much time has passed.

*We need to you acknowledge our pain.

*We need you to know that the memories flood our thoughts.

*We need you to know that all those things other kids their age (young &old) are doing, hurts to see sometimes.

*We need you to know that crying helps us.

*We need you to know that sometimes we don’t want to talk, we just want to be held and sit in silence.

*We need you to know it only takes one second to go back to that horrific day.

*We need you to know that the flashbacks can be relentless.

*We need you to know that we’re not the same person we used to be.

*We need you to check on us because we probably won’t reach out to you.

*We need you to know that it’s not only twice a year we feel intense sadness, but everyday we feel the pain of their absence.

*We need you to invite us places even though we may not go.

*We need you to know that we crave being around others who have experienced the same heartbreak.

*We need you to know why we still have their belongings everywhere.

*We need you to know that holidays hurt.

*We need you to know that we need your friendship and love, but we may not be the best friend in return.

*We need you to know that the guilt we carry sometimes gets too heavy.

*We need you to know that we live in two worlds; half of our heart is here and the other with our child in heaven.

*We need you to know that there’s no way you could possibly understand unless you’ve had a child die too.

💜🙏💜

Join us tonight at the Angel of Hope Children’s Memorial Park for a heartfelt candlelight vigil honoring the precious lives of children gone too soon. 🕯️🤍

You might wonder: Why hold an outdoor vigil in the chill of December, the coldest month of the year? It’s no accident—it’s part of a nationwide tradition inspired by Richard Paul Evans’ beloved book The Christmas Box, where communities gather at Angel of Hope statues across the country to light candles together. This unified moment creates a wave of warmth, hope, and remembrance that defies the winter frost, connecting grieving families from coast to coast in solidarity. Even in the darkest, coldest nights, our shared light shines brightest!

Bring your blankets and bundle up to remember, support, and uplift one another. All are welcome.

Melissa McKean has been leading hearts into the presence of God through worship for over a decade. As Worship Director at Northfield Church since 2011, Melissa is known for her authentic, Spirit-filled leadership and her deep desire to help people of every age encounter Jesus in a real and transformative way.

Tomorrow night, Melissa is generously donating her time and extraordinary musical gift to lead worship at the Angel of Hope Children’s Memorial Park Candlelight Vigil. With her gentle voice and heartfelt songs of hope, comfort, and healing, she will help create a sacred space for grieving families and the entire community to lift their hurts to the Lord together.

A devoted wife to Jon and proud mom of three wonderful boys—Ethan, David, and Josiah—Melissa’s giving heart is perhaps most beautifully displayed in the way she loves and serves her own family. Those who know her best say that her home is where her ministry begins: raising her children with kindness, teaching them to love Jesus, and modeling what it looks like to live with open hands and a generous spirit.

Whether she’s on a church stage or quietly serving behind the scenes, Melissa’s life reflects the same truth she sings about—God is good, and His love never fails. We are deeply grateful for her selfless gift of music and leadership at this year’s vigil, and for the way she continues to pour out comfort and hope to hurting hearts.

Bring your family, bring a friend, and let's gather together to honor the precious little lives
remembered at the Angel of Hope, lifting their families in prayer under the glow of candlelight.
