Buckboard Therapeutic Riding Academy Receives $8,350 Grant from Oregon Trail Community Foundation
Scottsbluff, NE — Buckboard Therapeutic Riding Academy is honored to announce the award of an $8,350 grantfrom the Oregon Trail Community Foundation (OTCF). This generous contribution directly supports the health, safety, and comfort of the therapy horses who make Buckboard’s mission possible.
The grant funding will be used to purchase a VersaTube loafing shed, horse emergency kits, winter blankets, and fly masks and boots. These essential items will help ensure Buckboard’s equine partners remain protected, comfortable, and in excellent condition year-round—supporting both the children’s therapeutic riding program and the veterans’ equine therapy program.
“Our horses are the heart of everything we do,” said Buckboard Therapeutic Riding Academy leadership. “This gracious gift from the Oregon Trail Community Foundation allows us to provide the highest level of care for them. By supporting our horses, OTCF is also supporting every child, adult, and veteran who walks through our doors to find healing, strength, and connection.”
Buckboard Therapeutic Riding Academy provides therapeutic riding, horsemanship education, and equine-assisted programs for individuals of all ages and abilities. The Academy also proudly serves local veterans through specialized programming designed to promote resilience, connection, and emotional wellness.
“We extend our deepest gratitude to the Oregon Trail Community Foundation for believing in our mission and investing in the wellbeing of our horses and riders,” the statement continued. “Their support strengthens our entire community.”
