🎶 GCS MEMBER HIGHLIGHT: MEET NANCY DARTNALL! 🎶
Some people grow up surrounded by music, and for Nancy Dartnall, music has always been part of the family story.
With parents who both played piano and sang with the Charlotte Oratorio Singers, Nancy’s musical roots run deep! From singing hymns in her childhood church choir to returning to choir singing later in life, music has remained a meaningful thread throughout her journey.
Today, Nancy loves the special connection between past and present—singing music her parents cherished while discovering new pieces along the way. And she has a special appreciation for our own Dan, whose gift for teaching and bringing music to life makes rehearsals a real treat!
A fun fact about Nancy? She and her husband ride a tandem bicycle together! 🚲
And her dream musical collaboration? Singing with Manhattan Transfer! Now that's a fun fact we love!
When asked what she would say to someone who has never attended a Gaston Choral Society concert, Nancy beautifully summed it up: music is a way to celebrate traditions, feel connected to the community, and appreciate the incredible musical talent right here in Gastonia.
Nancy, we're so glad you're part of the GCS family! Thank you for sharing your love of music, your family traditions, and your talents with us. We're grateful to have you singing alongside us!
Help us celebrate Nancy in the comments! đź‘Ź
You do not need a music degree to love this concert. You just need a seat. Tickets: link in bio or gastonchoralsociety.org
