We’re bringing local nonprofit organizations, community resources, information, support and opportunities directly to the people who need them — while creating a fun, welcoming experience for the entire family.

Our goal is simple: X OUT THE EXCUSES. BRIDGE THE GAP.
When transportation, lack of information, or not knowing where to turn becomes a barrier, we bring the resources closer to the community.

Families can connect, learn, receive support, discover opportunities and make memories — all in one place.

🎡 STATE FAIR OF TEXAS COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT DAY! 🤝

We had a TIME at Community Engagement Day at the State Fair of Texas!

Great energy, great conversations, great food and drinks—and, most importantly, meaningful connections.

But it wasn’t just about having fun. We also had the opportunity to have real conversations about some of the barriers our communities are still facing and what it takes to close those gaps.

Local organizations, community leaders, city managers, and city departments came together to connect, network, exchange resources, discuss community needs, and build relationships that can turn into real collaboration.

That’s what community engagement should look like—getting out of our individual spaces, sitting at the same table, learning what others are doing, and figuring out how we can work together instead of working separately.

B.R.I.D.G.E.S. is always looking for ways to connect the people doing the work with the people who have the resources, information, and opportunities our communities need.

We laughed, we ate, we connected, we talked about the work that still needs to be done—and we left with new relationships and new possibilities. 💙

CALLING ALL COMMUNITY PARTNERS, BUSINESSES & SUPPORTERS!

Graduation is a huge accomplishment—but for many seniors, the expenses don’t stop once they receive their diploma.

B.R.I.D.G.E.S. Empowerment Inc. is collecting college essentials and gift items for graduating high school seniors preparing to leave for college. We want to help make that transition a little easier and remind our seniors that their community is behind them. 💙

We are accepting donations of:

• 🛏️ Dorm essentials — bedding, towels, lamps, storage & more
• 🧴 Toiletries & personal-care items
• 📚 School supplies, backpacks, planners & tech accessories
• 🎁 Gift cards for food, gas, school supplies & college necessities
• 💌 Encouragement items, care packages & inspirational notes

Businesses and organizations are welcome to sponsor a senior, host a collection box, donate items, provide gift cards, or partner with us on this initiative.

Every notebook, towel, gift card, care package, and encouraging message can help a student walk into their next chapter feeling prepared, supported, and celebrated.

For many young adults, transitioning foster young adults, and transitioning veterans, getting approved for an apartment is only part of the challenge.

Coming up with first month’s rent + a large security deposit + moving expenses all at once can be difficult.

B.R.I.D.G.E.S. is sharing security deposit alternatives that may help reduce the amount of cash needed upfront.

CAN’T PAY ALL YOUR RENT AT ONCE? YOU MAY HAVE OPTIONS.

Moving into independence and keeping up with monthly expenses can be challenging. B.R.I.D.G.E.S. is here to help connect our community to resources that may make the transition a little easier.

We’re sharing split-rent and flexible payment resources that may allow eligible renters to divide their monthly rent into smaller payments instead of paying the entire amount at once.
This information may be especially helpful for:

• Young adults ages 18–24
• Young adults transitioning from foster care
• Transitioning veterans
• Individuals working toward stable, independent housing

⚠️ Please remember:

These programs are NOT grants or free money. Eligibility, fees, repayment schedules, and participating properties vary. Always use the provider’s official website, read the terms carefully, and check with your leasing office before signing up.

If you’re already behind on rent, contact your property manager first and ask about a payment plan or local rental-assistance resources. A pay-later service may not cover past-due rent.
