Today on Farmworkers Day, we recognize the great contributions of our farm workers to our nation, but also the enduring fight of labor unions and farmworker advocates who have stood up for dignity, fair wages, and safer working conditions.

We celebrate the resilience, sacrifice, and lasting impact of farm workers, past and present, who continue to help build and sustain our country.

Last week, the National Association of Hispanic Firefighters (NAHFF) was proud to assist a group of Guatemalan Firefighters who traveled to the U.S. to receive a donated tractor-drawn aerial truck aka tiller truck from the San Mateo Consolidated Fire Department.

Spanish-speaking Firefighters from multiple Bay Area Bombero associations came together to deliver the driver/tiller training, ensuring the crew was ready for their journey home. They will be driving the apparatus all the way back to Guatemala.

Moments like this highlight the power of unity, service, and our shared commitment to helping our brothers and sisters in the fire service across borders. πŸ‡¬πŸ‡ΉπŸ€πŸ½πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
