Prayers for the Family of Bishop Harrington McFrazier Jr., and the New Beginnings Christian Fellowship Church
OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM PRESIDENT DONALD R. ROBINSON
On the Passing of Bishop Harrington McFrazier Jr., Th.D.
It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that I, along with the officers and members of the Baptist Ministers Conference of Los Angeles and Southern California, mourn the transition of our beloved Bishop Harrington McFrazier Jr., Th.D.
Bishop McFrazier was more than a member of our Conference. He faithfully served as the Parliamentarian of the Baptist Ministers Conference, providing counsel, wisdom, guidance, and a steady presence to our leadership and membership. He was a dedicated, committed, and faithful member of the BMC, and his service to this Conference will not soon be forgotten.
On a personal level, this loss is especially difficult because Bishop McFrazier was also my friend and brother in ministry. I valued his friendship, his fellowship, his counsel, and the spirit in which he served. There are people who hold an office, and then there are people whose character and commitment bring distinction to the office they hold. Bishop McFrazier was such a servant.
His absence will be deeply felt at our Conference meetings. We will miss his voice. We will miss his wisdom. We will miss his fellowship. We will miss the faithful presence of a man who loved God, loved the Church, and remained committed to the work of the Baptist Ministers Conference.
While our hearts are saddened by his passing, our faith reminds us that his labor was not in vain. The words of the Apostle Paul are especially meaningful during this hour:
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7
Bishop McFrazier served faithfully, and now we honor his life, his ministry, his friendship, and the legacy of service he leaves behind.
On behalf of the entire Baptist Ministers Conference of Los Angeles and Southern California, I extend our heartfelt love, prayers, and deepest condolences to his beloved wife and family, his church family, and all those whose lives were touched by his ministry.
To the McFrazier family: you do not grieve alone. Your BMC family stands with you, prays with you, and mourns with you.
Bishop, our friend, our brother, our Parliamentarian—thank you for your service. Thank you for your faithfulness. Thank you for your friendship.
Rest well, faithful servant. Your work speaks for you, and your presence among us will never be forgotten.
Dr. Donald R. Robinson, President
