Our Y32 team welcomed their Shibata homestays to LA this summer! 🇺🇸🏀 After visiting Shibata last year, it was our turn to return the hospitality. The Y32 players spent the week showing their homestays around LA, with stops at Disneyland, the beach, and Dodger Stadium, along with some time back on the court. A year later, they got to pick up right where they left off with the friends who made last summer so special. 🏝️🏟️💙

Our Y33 team took their Outbound trip to Kochi this summer! 🇯🇵🏀 From playing basketball with their Kochi homestay hosts to exploring Miyajima and visiting Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion) in Kyoto, they made the most of their summer in Japan both on and off the court. ⛩️✨🗾

Favorite Yonsei Memory
My favorite Yonsei memory is from my homestay in Japan, where I hung out with her friends who were staying overnight. We walked to the beach, where we lit fireworks and had a fun time under the beautiful night sky. After that fun activity, we played cards, video games, and enjoyed the night.
I do have another Yonsei memory where our team traveled to San Jose for the Taisho Tournament. The whole weekend was so fun with games filled with high and low, specifically, the Barons game that our team barely clutched out. Moreover, hanging out with the team and going to eat at various places was beyond a fun experience.
Both of these experiences are things that I will keep close to my heart.

Favorite Yonsei Memory
My favorite Yonsei memory was meeting and bonding with my homestay, Futa. It was great to experience the home life of someone from another country, especially Japan. We went to the beach, talked around a fire, and laughed a lot through our language barrier. They welcomed me as a part of their family, and I am so grateful for the memory.
