πŸŽ‰ Congratulations to Our 2026 Mental Health Interns! πŸ’™

Today we celebrated an incredible group of young leaders who successfully completed their 5-week internship with Connected to Lead!

Throughout the program, they grew personally and professionally while gaining hands-on experience in youth mental health. They presented engaging virtual workshops, planned and facilitated a youth mental health summit, strengthened their Canva and social media skills, completed the SPEAK program, and earned certifications in Teen Mental Health First Aid, Be Well, becoming advocates for mental health and substance use awareness.

We wrapped up the internship today with Coping Cocoa & Canvas, enjoying an afternoon of painting, reflection, and lunch together.

We are so proud of everything these interns accomplished and the impact they've already made in our community. Thank you for your leadership, compassion, and dedication. We can't wait to see where your journeys take you next! πŸ’™πŸ‘

Big shoutout to Child Mind Institute & Youth Mental Health Academy

πŸ’™ What an incredible day at our Stronger Together: A Mental Health Summit for Youth, By Youth! 🧑

We couldn't be more proud of our interns for planning this event. They did an amazing job facilitating engaging workshops and fun activities. Their leadership, passion, and teamwork truly shined today!

Youth explored important topics through workshops on minor consent laws, circles of support, healthy coping skills, and mental health Q&A, while also creating friendship bracelets and sensory tools focusing on the importance of community and healthy coping. The competition heated up with Kahoot! and Blooket as participants earned raffle tickets, won prizes, and had a blast connecting with one another.

Most importantly, today was a reminder that prioritizing mental health can be empowering, meaningful, and fun. 🧠

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and congratulations to our incredible interns for making this summit such a success. We are so proud of all you've accomplished! πŸŽ‰πŸ‘

We are developing resilient leaders of all ages one connection at a time. One of our many programs includes Project Pathways, which develops Peer Mental Health Mentors as leaders and trains them in teen Mental Health First Aid (tMHFA). We have funding to train 100 teens in the South Bay, South LA, and who are systems impacted in Orange County.
