Catherine Hospital’s membership into the Midwest Cancer Alliance. We are happy to say we accomplished this goal! The Midwest Cancer Alliance links rural hospitals and cancer centers like the one at St. Catherine Hospital to the University of Kansas, School of Medicine’s Cancer Center. This gives patients in southwest Kansas the opportunity to utilize KU Med’s resources without having to travel and
gives them access to the latest in clinical trials. With this $30,000 we are happy to say that we have now donated over $100,000 toward improving cancer fighting resources in Southwest Kansas. This money has gone to help provide things like radiation shields, two digital mammography machines, and the Midwest Cancer Alliance membership. We are incredibly proud of the cancer screening events that we have been able to host over the last four years. Early detection is key to treating all types of cancer. It is our hope that by continuing to host free cancer screening that we can save lives in southwest Kansas. With your help we look forward to expanding these screenings to other communities.
