Moran United Way/Labor Food Center which provides food to the local emergency food system, at no cost to those in need, and support 2-1-1 Connecticut for free information and referral 24/7. Our annual EBECSA collection event at the UNFI Holiday and Winter Show | East is underway!
Each year, a large group of volunteers consisting of employees, retirees, family, and friends from Electric Boat, as well as volunteers from UNFI, collect tens of thousands of pounds of food and nonfood items for our Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center.

A big thank you to the students, families, and staff at Mahan and Moriarty Elementary Schools for participating in this year's Cereal Box Tip! More than 100 boxes of cereal were collected and donated to the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center to help support our community. 💛

Each year, our Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center collects large quantities of food left over from the UNFI Holiday and Winter Show | East, typically totaling tens of thousands of pounds that are returned to the community.

This year, thanks to an invitation from UNFI, we are taking our presence at the show to another level, with our own table for the first time!

Our volunteers and staff representatives are available to provide information about the Food Center. The show, which began today, will run until Thursday, June 25 at 3 p.m. in the Mohegan Sun Earth Expo & Convention Center.

Thank you to UNFI for your continued support of the Food Center, allowing us to work toward building a healthy community!

For five days, Hartford comes alive with Film, Art, Music, Culture, and Technology across the Old State House, Wadsworth Atheneum, Bushnell Park, and more.
