A big "thank you" to Twin County Airport for giving our students a wonderful field trip. Our students got to experience flying...many for the first time. It was exciting to see their hesitation, and then their enthusiasm when they returned from their flights! Thank you to all the airport staff and pilot Steve Miller who made this possible!

You know you are in a Christian school when a third grade student has a copy of Spiritual Leadership on his desk. 😀

While we will suggest books closer to his reading ability, we love that our students have access to great Christian classics!

As part of our Everyday Discipleship program, our students have lunch with community leaders and learn from them. A big "thank you" to Trenton Miller from Primerica for sharing financial concepts with our students. We all learned a lot!

Today we were privileged to represent Galax Christian School at the Leadership Network Meeting with the Association of Christian Schools International.

I was able to sit down and express my gratitude to ACSI and The Children's Tuition Fund for expressing confidence in Galax Christian School from our first days until now. This organization believed in our mission then, and has consistently helped to fund our mission. We are grateful!

Galax Christian School was privileged to attend the Public Policy and Advocacy Summit near Washington D.C. this week.

On January 2, 2027, the new Education Freedom Tax Scholarship takes effect. This is one of the most significant pieces of legislation passed for education in decades, and we are excited that Virginia was the first state to opt in! More details coming soon!

This year for grammar and composition class there is no AI, no keyboard, and no screen. Our high school students are completing writing assignments the "old" way---handwriting, pencil, and paper. We are pleased with the creativity and excellence that this is forming in our students!
