We opened our email today to the exciting news that the Twin County Community Foundation awarded us $35,000 for the 2026- 2027 funding cycle. These funding will be used to purchase items that will go into our monthly food boxes.
That means when families receive milk, eggs, cheese, butter, sugar, flour and other staples, their support is helping put those items there.
We think about one single mom who came through our line after surgery and infections left her unable to work. She normally worked two jobs, but suddenly needed help feeding her children.
We were able to help her through that season. She eventually got back on her feet and later came back with her children to serve others.
That is the direct impact of the Twin County Community Foundation.
Their funding helps us put real food into the hands of seniors, working families, and people facing illness, job loss and circumstances they never expected.
You can count the boxes and the dollars, but you really can’t put a value on the dignity, relief and hope that support provides.
