Are you passionate about making a difference in our community? Downtown Galax Grows is looking for dedicated individuals to join our team and help revitalize our historic downtown! As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, we are committed to preserving the heart of Galax while fostering a thriving, vibrant district.

There are so many ways to get involved! Our work is guided by the Main Street Four-Point Approach, and you can be a part of one (or more!) of these committees:

🌿 Design Committee – Focuses on the look and feel of downtown, including beautification, historic preservation, and public spaces.

💼 Economic Vitality Committee – Supports local businesses, encourages entrepreneurship, and strengthens our downtown economy.

🎉 Promotions Committee – Plans events, markets our downtown, and brings people together to experience all that Galax has to offer.

🤝 Organization Committee – Builds partnerships, engages volunteers, and ensures our efforts are sustainable for years to come.

Wytheville Community College (WCC) offers a four-week program in truck driver training (CDL).

Classes begin on September 9.

It is an absolute PLEASURE to FINALLY announce a HUGE project we have been working on.

We have finally fully staffed and built a website for our lunch cafe!

We can now take online orders, pre-orders, and much more! Go check it out!! We also will be moving some of our smaller catering options to this website and you can place catering orders for 50 people and less and specific menus directly on the website!!

We also need a tiny bit of help, Facebook seems to bury our posts as we have a hard time getting ANY word out...so please consider sharing for us.
