We are a strong nonprofit. Started by a purpose. Continued everyday by the strength and conviction of our volunteers.

Pink is coming to the Unity Project on Wednesday October 14th!
Pink Hats
Pink Food
Pink Shirts
And information about Breast Cancer Awareness! We might be a homeless shelter but we still need to be aware of our health!
More details to follow. It will be an exciting “Pink” Day!!

My Team of volunteers work hard. They are passionate about helping others. We talk about how “one clean shirt” can make a big difference in the life of someone struggling to get off the street. Or in some cases it’s just for survival on the street. We rarely get a chance to “capture “ the compassion.
I’m so proud and appreciative of the CWP crew that runs the Unity Project clothing room!💖

We are very excited to be working with the Compass Center/United Way! This week I picked up 40 “Cold weather” kits to use with the Emergency Essentials Backpacks we create. These items together will be very helpful when various agencies use these backpacks to help the homeless this winter!
Better together! Looking forward to more projects together!!💖

Clothing with a Purpose works hard to dress the homeless to start new jobs and help children stay in school with good gently used clothing. But last night we switched gears. We volunteered to work “back stage” to dress Women with Purpose, strong women of our community.

Power of the Purse! A wonderful event hosted by Women’s Source.
It was an exciting evening! I was very proud of my board! They assisted each of these beautiful women with stunning outfits.
One more example of Nonprofits working together to make a difference for our community!!

We need your TENNIS SHOES! Men’s, women’s and Children’s. Any color, make or model!

The past few days we’ve helped…..
Kids go to school
People go to an interview
And then get the job!
Others go to a very needed Doctor’s appointment
Then we had the lady who finally had the guts to make her way to the Domestic abuse shelter
And the man who made the commitment for a sober life
They all needed shoes. Nothing fancy. Just shoes without holes in the soles. Just shoes.

Check your closets. Bring what you no longer wear or need to…..

This week at Unity!

Please note the items we need. Add reusable grocery bags and backpacks to the list. They help our guests have a way to carry their clothes and toiletries they choose from the clothing room.

Love these volunteers at Unity! We couldn’t run the Clothing room without them!! 💖
Join our team! We can always use more help.

Tuesday -Sort and straighten. Put out new donations that have arrived.
Wednesday-serve/help our guests and residents find that perfect outfit for an upcoming interview, new job, dr appointment, etc.
Thursday -Straighten after a busy Wednesday.
Most weeks someone is there 10-2:00 or 11-1:00.
If these days and times don’t work did you, there are always many other jobs to do!
