Ryan Joiner Foundation

Ryan Joiner Foundation We are a non-profit dedicated to mental health awareness and su***de prevention in Gainesville, GA.

The Joiner Family established the non-profit The Ryan Joiner Foundation in memory of their 29-year-old son and brother Ryan who on June 22, 2022, died by su***de after a long battle with mental illness. Ryan was a beloved son, brother, friend, athlete, musician, student, and volunteer. Having journeyed along the course of Ryan’s illness with him, the family recognized the need for more support, ed

ucation, and advocacy for those who live with mental health conditions and their families. The Ryan Joiner Foundation is working to create a support/resource center dedicated to mental health in Gainesville, GA. Our goal is to create a support/resource center dedicated to working with adolescents and young adults living with mental health conditions and their families. The Ryan Joiner Foundation works to promote mental health awareness and reduce stigma and discrimination against people with mental health conditions in our community. We also support organizations that focus on early intervention, recovery, and prevention through research.

πŸ’š As we close out Mental Health Month and move into June, the conversation doesn’t end here. Mental health matters every day, every month, all year long.

A reminder for anyone who needs to hear it today: You are enough. You matter. You are not alone. πŸ’š

We are incredibly grateful for our community standing with us in support of mental health awareness and hope. A special thank you to Puzzle Piece Pastries for joining us as a new participant this year! Your support helps keep the message going beyond May and reminds our community that together, we can continue breaking stigma and building connection. 🧩✨

Mental health awareness doesn’t end with a month β€” it’s a movement. Let’s keep showing up for one another. πŸ’š

πŸ’š Hall Goes Green for Mental Health πŸ’š

A heartfelt thank you to Quinlan Visual Arts Center for going green with us for Mental Health Awareness Month for 4 years strong!

We are so grateful for your continued partnership in helping us host the Connections in Color Mental Health Art Contest for 3 years in a row. This year, we were also excited to add a Creative Writing Contest to the experience!

Over the past 3 years, we’ve celebrated incredible student winners from across Hall Countyβ€”each receiving a cash prize for themselves and their school’s art department. (See all the winning artwork and artists from each year!)

Art, drawing, and writing give voice to emotions, build connection, and support mental well-being in powerful ways. We are proud to see creativity helping break stigma and open conversations around mental health. πŸ’š
