🎂 Every child deserves to feel celebrated on their birthday.
That’s why Crossroads Connection is so excited to now provide Birthday Boxes for the children we serve — because food support matters, but so do joy, celebration, and the simple moments that make childhood special. 💙
Through an incredible partnership with the FCCLA students at Gainesville High School, 100 birthday boxes were created for local children experiencing food insecurity. FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) is a national student organization focused on leadership, community service, and helping students make a positive impact in their communities — and these students truly embodied that mission.
Each birthday box was thoughtfully packed with cake mix, frosting, sprinkles, candles, balloons, birthday cards, and even cans of Sprite to help families create meaningful birthday memories at home.
What makes this project even more special is the heart behind it. FCCLA students raised funds throughout the school year by catering events, then spent their own time assembling every box by hand. Their compassion, leadership, and dedication are a powerful reminder of what young people can accomplish when they come together to serve their community.
A huge thank you to Jennifer McKee, the FCCLA students, Quinn McKee, and AJ Miller for helping bring this project to life. These birthday boxes are more than supplies — they’re moments of happiness, dignity, and hope for children who deserve to feel celebrated.
Because every child deserves a birthday worth smiling about. 🎈
