Alex's Army Childhood Cancer Foundation is a Christian based organization focused on providing funding for Childhood Cancer Research and to provide support for families affected by Childhood Cancer. Childhood Cancer Research gets less than 4% of the NIH cancer research budget and funds allocated in the last 10 years have continuously been cut. This means that funding for research often comes direc
tly from parents and non-profit groups trying to make a difference for our kids! We have witnessed firsthand the emotional, physical, and financial toll that a childhood cancer diagnosis can have on a family. Our Alex was diagnosed October 10th, 2009, he was 5 years old and just 1 month into Kindergarten when he was first diagnosed. Alex hated every moment of being in the hospital and getting prodded and poked as the doctors fought his disease. Alex overcame many fears over the years and continuously showed courage and faith along almost 7 years he fought. Alex passed away with his mom and dad by his side June 6, 2016 at the young age of 12 years old. Alex's Army became an official 501c3 nonprofit in 2014 with the mission to fund research focusing on Wilms Tumor, to raise awareness for all childhood cancers, and to provide support to the childhood cancer community through faiths, hope, and love! To date Alex’s Army has contributed $550,000 to Childhood Cancer Research! With your financial support we remain committed and steadfast to make a difference however we best can so that one day God-willing cures will be found! Learn more at www.alexsarmyccf.org
