Saving money and resources, together. CWC volunteer energy coaches are trained to perform comprehensive energy audits/tune-ups on homes.

Our volunteers share behavioral changes residents can make to conserve resources and complete some of the recommended energy-saving measures during the tune-up (such as installing energy-efficient light bulbs and water-saving devices). Since its inception, the CWC has helped over 1,300 low-income homeowners and renters in our community. We have trained over 300 volunteer energy auditors, and have sparked much-needed dialogue on energy and conservation related issues in area churches, neighborhood associations, and local government.

Are you looking for a hands-on way to help your Alachua County neighbors save money and resources?

Our mission is to help our neighbors save energy and water and reduce their utility bills, by engaging volunteers, building community, and learning together.

We believe everyone deserves an affordable utility bill.

Our fall training is coming up on Thursdays October 29th and November 5th, and Saturday, November 14th.

You'll learn how to perform home energy tune-ups for our neighbors in need, analyze utility bills, and install resource saving supplies to help families save -on average- $255 per year! The first two Thursday sessions will be held at United Church of Gainesville, and the Saturday session will be held at a private location in north Gainesville.

DM us with any questions!
